The School of Biological Sciences develops and conveys fundamental knowledge about how organisms function, interact and evolve in a changing world.
- Our faculty are highly ranked in research productivity in both Zoology and in Plant Sciences and our research efforts support strong M.S and Ph.D. programs.
- We provide high-quality undergraduate instruction which is central to the mission of the university, training both Science and non-Science majors.
- Our Biology and Zoology majors are the largest in the Sciences and we provide one-on-one faculty advising for these students.
- Our outreach activities are expanding and include public lectures and collections provided by the Conner Museum and Ownbey Herbarium.
