2 or 3 credits, offered Fall & Spring
semesters.
"Individual projects using electron microscopy including
transmission electron microscopy and/or scanning electron
microscopy. Students are provided hands-on instruction in
specimen preparative procedures including ultramicrotomy.
Students who take 586 should also register for 587. May
be repeated for credit."

"Initially, the instructor provides fundamental theory
and practical aspects of EM instrumentation and
preparative techniques. Students present the results of
their project in 586."
